I've got a 2004 K12 1.2l S, it's lasted me for years and years and has done a lot of miles and I'm determined to keep it running but it has now developed a loud noise from the engine at about 3000 rpm (it makes it difficult to sit at 60mph!). I thought it could have been a hole in the exhaust somewhere but it is consistently at 3000 rpm in every gear.
Could this be a bearing in the engine on its way out? Any thoughts on what else it could be?
