Loss of power

Hi
I have an 04 registered 1.0E Micra and for no apparent reason it randomly looses power. This has just started happening, there are no warning lighs displayed and the car will suddenly loose power and then surge forward. It appeared to start happening when fuel was added recently into an almost empty tank.

Any ideas?

You looked at the Ignition leads?

blocked fuel filter? fuel pump on the way out? cheap to replace both

Probably unlikely, but I did at one stage have the car intermittently stutter and once completely stalled because after fiddling with the loom at one point I didn't securely attach the wire to the battery terminal correctly. Was a bitch to diagnose as it didn't start happening immediately - worked its way loose over a bit of time and then started happening.

Again, more likely to be throttlebody/dizzy/fuel supply issue or something like that.

I had this issue in a 1.3 after i had a jap half cut dropped in, the issue was the distributer
