Lights/Wipers re-wiring

I had the idea of removing the stalks on the steering wheel and re-wiring them to switches. Has anyone done this before? Or does anyone know anyone who has?

The wipers/washers would be easy-ish to do,but the lights/indicators may be abit more tricky?

Just thinking... why don't you separate them all: lights / indicators / wipers / washers

I don't think it would be that tricky, just follow the wires attached to the stalks and connect them in a proper way to the switches

It would be really unusual mod once it's done

Yeah it'll be a series of switches with each one for each function...hm...will have a look in the haynes for the wiring diagram
