Lights behind climate control panel

A couple of years ago the lights behind the climate control panel started to dim and now they dont work at all. They usually light up when switching on the lights but now they dont work at all and its a bit difficult to ajust heater whilst driving at night. I've taken out the heater panel (with difficulty, not alot of space) but cant see anything obvious.

Any suggestions?

do you mean the bit with the 3 knobs on it ? if so you remove the 3 knobs pull them gently and then go to a corner and slowly peel of the plastic face being careful not to crease it and there should be two 501 bulbs behind that. hope this helps
