led dash lights

the lights that illuminate my clocks have all amazingly blown apart from 2 or 3 of them

so i want to change them to red LEDS

what kind of LEDS can i use?
how would i go about securing them in the bulb holders?

i think i read goldstar has already done this when i did a search

lol you made two threads just use red bulbs that plug n play, would look just as good i would've thought

I have ye.

Mine are "custom" LED's, I simply use existing bulb holders and solder a LED and fuse into it and it works fine.
You can buy LED bulbs in other colours too from http://www.ultraleds.com/

There's a guide coming onto Mightmicra soon as well.

i found with the bulbs i got from that site for the dashboard that they were a little big and struggled getting them in at one point. I had to file the dash clock connection part down to fit one in! but they in and LED's dont seem to do that much to brighten it up on mine anyway.

The brighter you want the higher MCD value you need, I used some pricey 10000mcd once, too bright for me, I stick to a nice 7000mcd now

i ve a 96 1.0l and want to cahnge the dash lights. so far ive only found 2 bulbs.........should there be more. if so how many and sizes etc..cheers

I have a 98 SI.. and one of my dash board bulbs have gone out what size do i get is it a standard size or are they T6's or T8'S? i would like blue or Red 1s...(Y)

if we are talking the ones behind the clocks/dials then i replaced my k10 ones and my mates mr2 ones with 501 bulbs from halfy's http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...earch&storeId=10001&catalogId=10151&langId=-1
