The king springs are 30mm lower then standard and the part number is KDFL-26 Front and Rear KDFL-08. And the best price I have been quoted is $233 for front and $215 for rear, so shop around and good luck.

Maybe some Whiteine springs as their 42mm lowered, and listed as around $175 for front and same for rear, only catch is you probably have to wait 4-8wks for them to be made overseas and sent over.

just remember that if you put bigger wheels on at the same time or soon after (rolling diameter) you'll need much lower springs too kepp the car nice and low, i'd go the whiteline's unless you were to keep to the std alloys/steel rims,

Yeah. I reckon the kings don't lower the car much. You look at the car again and it still looks pretty high. They do a bit for handling, but nothing fantastic.

Whiteline springs are much better, their height is just that bit lower and you seem to really notice it. In my opinion only, a micra with king springs still looks pretty high and average.

Of course depends on what you are after, but the whitelines handle better also. So I think they win all round. Whiteline have kept advising me for people to order parts in from Autobarn and from parts places instead of direct through whiteline. But you can still use their webstore. However it hs been an absolute pain for me, its pretty basic how its setup, but works for simple orders within Australia.

Whitelines are definately lower than Kings. 42mm vs. 30mm.

Or you can get even lower custom kmacs to your own specs.

If I had my time again I'd go for the whiteline springs.

I am very happy with the feel of my king springs but I needed to have a knowledgable suspension specialist to adjust them to a height I was happy with. Which at the end of the day is similar to the height of the whiteline springs. It was a good outcome but to much mucking around.

After originally getting k-macs to a customed height. I wouldn't bother as the front really has not much travel any lower than the at the whiteline height anyway. After having the kings and kmacs together and compared buy a specialist he really thought they were probably the same spring with an adjusted height and different powder coat.

One last thing if you do go for a custome height make sure you are happy with your ride height before you do your exhaust as there really is not much room in there for going lower later on. You will more than likely get rubbing and will prob mean more $$$$ later on.

I haven't had whiteline so can't answer the first question.

The ride quality was improved. They became a little stiffer but I didn't have them adjusted much maybe 10-15mm.
With my koni's set on soft my ride is the smoothest of any lowered car I've ever been in.

Ride height in the whitelines is still extremely high quality and very smooth. There don't seem to be any negative impacts with them in my opinion.

The height looks very nice and I would say that they have had a lot more thought and engineering put into them than your average random set of kmacs that are made according to someone's individual height specs.

Thanks cisco. You just made my wallet a little bit lighter.

From your fixation with rattles in the car I have figured that i can trust your opinion on ride quality. :p

And I dont believe I have ever heard of a case of whiteline springs making the car sit uneven, like alot of other brand of springs do...

One more thing, if anyone finds that a place called "Jumboz" can make custom springs - yeh well steer clear. Nothing but crappy springs from these guys from all over the suspension scene...

TeeHee. I will definately back whiteline springs all the way.

I've bought 2 sets of kings in my early days on the first white micra. I hacked the first set up after taking them to a place to be "reset" in height. But my mistake was in not getting some coils removed as part of the process. So they ended up extremely soft and were effectively destroyed hah.

Then I cut more than half out of my factory springs, i.e. the car honestly had less than half the factory springs left in it. It was a psycho danger vehicle. I would definately not drive it like that now, I was a P-plate idiot. But it was fun hah. I was even stupid enough to drive to Sydney with those in. I hit this exit ramp with my mate and the car launched off the ground and we both **** our pants. The next day I ordered a fresh set of Kings to slam in there for reliability and safety. hah.

Whiteline springs weren't around back then. But they are a clear improvement over kings without any compromises.

Whiteline springs/shocks are very, very nice for street indeed.

In fact the only reason I'd ask for a higher spring rate is because they weren't as direct as I would want if the car was to be for constant track use. Wind the shocks up though and its a bit better, but still a bit too soft..

For street, you can't go wrong with the Whiteline springs and I've been in a lot of cars with lowered springs...

Ben works in my exact same building at present. Its a crackup. Sometimes he even walks past my desk where I sit.

We had a yarn the other day, just quickly, I was flat out and Ben was on the move doing something or other..
