k12 timing chains

Hi, new to the forum,at the moment i have a k11 and enjoy it.But i have been looking at the newer k12 and have been put off by some of the reviews regarding the timing chains.Question is was it just the 2003 model that were affected or were they all the same.Im looking at 55 plates either 1.4sport or the 160sr.Any help would be great.Also would like to say how good this site is.

i believe it affects the pre 05 CR,s and almera 1.5,s fwn

Thanks for the reply frank.Well i have done it.We went and bought one yesterday:grinning:.Just have to weight till tuesday now to pick it up.Pics will follow later in the week.
