K12 Power Steering

I've read a lot (a LOT) about the electric power steering failing in a K12.

What I haven't found so far is any description of how the car drives without PS - other than the light flashing a bit...

Anyone have any experience with this? I'm considering removing the PS, assuming it's possible, as it seems to me the K12 is too light to bother with it - I'd rather have a better feel of the road.

its would be speed sensitive surely ? (max assistance at low speed, and barely assisted at speed)

as above what frank says so i would imagine it will have the same resistance as if doing 70+ with it

You could be right frank, I'm not familiar with electric PS. In that case I might look into removing it, not that it'll save much weight as removing a hydraulic system would.
