K12 mounting bracket

Hi,

I am new to this forum and was hoping to change the standard stereo in my K12 to a new one (I have checked out this thread, so hopefully won't have too many problems...)

My question is around putting the new one in and whether or not it requires a separate mounting bracket - if there's anyone who has changed theirs, could you let me know if you needed to buy a separate bracket, or if it was just as simple as putting the new stereo in the hole made from the old one?

A new head unit will come with necessary mounting cage

Hahaha! Been there and done that! You should find that any new head unit will have holes for mounting screws on the side and these'll line up with the holes that OEM unit was mounted by.
