K12 instrument cluster

The mileage display has almost faded plus the fuel and rev needles are a little sticky.

I've seen instrument clusters for sale but some are AX770 and others AX870 but to my eye the front and back appear identical.

Are AX770 and 870 interchangeable or do I need to replace like with like? I have an manual petrol engined 1.2s on an 03 plate.

I do know that the instrument cluster changed slightly with facelifts. My mums 2003 SVE shows the indicators at the far left and right but on my 2005 sport+ they're more central, so I'm not sure if they are swappable between face lifts

Your best bet is to get one from a micra of around the same age (upto early 2005/pre-facelift) from ebay or a scrapyard...

If all else fails you could ask Nissan what it could be, they can't charge you to phone them up surely?
