K12 bonnet and fuel flap issue

Hi guys my wife's micra has a small issue the flaps in side the car for popping bonnet and fuel flap are sticking and not returning to there "home" position and some times it takes a few pulls to get fuel flap open is there a easy fix if so what is it as it's getting annoying with the wife moaning at me .

In the can lubricant with little bit of time and careful spraying of cables.
They have dried during the years of non lubrication.
