Hello again, I thought I'd better split my problems into different threads, my girlfriend was complaining of a smell coming from the car so when I got in and started it up I noticed the red thermostat light was on, so I had a look under the bonnet and found there wasnt one bit of water in the radiator or expansion bottle, I've been keeping my eye on it and have noticed when sat idle there is no leak but the fan never kicks in and only the top rad hose gets hot so I'll take it for a spin round the block and when I check under the bonnet there is water leaking at the bottom of the rad, its definitely not the bottom pipe leaking but I'm wondering why the fan isn't working and if its normal for the bottom pipe to stay cold?
