K11 Timing Issues

Hi all,

Recently went to do the timing on my K11, with the engine still in, big mistake. Engine will come out next week to finish the job.

My biggest issue is my camshafts not lining up with with the crank at TDC. From what I have seen the knock pin on exhaust side should be vertically up and the intake on a 90 degree angle to the left. Mine are nowhere near this after turning the engine.

Is it safe to adjust the cams when the bottom end is at TDC on the pulley?
