K11 replacement gearbox?

Got a noise that sounds like very noisy wheel bearings but is coming from the gearbox area, like the syncromesh is spinning away, either that or the driveshaft? My mechanic is taking it in hopefully tomorrow to let me know for sure what i need, where is the cheapest place to get a new box if that is the problem?
he said it may just be the linkage, so fingers crossed as i have nil mechanical skills!

Got a gearbox out of another 2000 micra and it doesn't fit, my one has a crank sensor attached, had to buy another

i have a gearbox up at my work from my old car that a smashed last month, 1995 model

Cheers mate but it wont fit, i have an electric box, got sensors attached and an earth lead of something like that
