K11 Rally pa.rts wanted

Hi, I am preparing a Rallyfirst 1.0lt car for my son and to try and keep costs down, I am after some second hand parts:

Uprated shocks/dampers - Coilovers or Standard type (already have Spax springs for standard set up).
Strut mount brace for front and rear.
Adjustable panhard rod.
Sump guard.

Also need advice on protecting the fuel tank, is it a home made job or can a cover be bought?

Budget place for poly bushes.

Thanks

Cant help with alot but if you contact noddie on here or looking in the for sale section he can supply an adjustable on car panhard rod for a very reasonable price delivered.

Speak to Matt Humphris of Humphris Oxford, their website lists nearly everything you could ever need or want!

As for the tank guard geta old tank, cut thr bottom off it, fill with pu foam, remove tank straps, adjust them and place bottom half of other tank on bottom of main tank, put on straps and away you go, has worked forus for years!

Thanks for the advice, I have already contacted him, but unfortunately I do not have the funds to pay the prices , I think I am going to keep my eyes open for spares as they come up. I used to race a 1700 Mk2 escort years ago and thought it would be cheaper to do a Micra this time, but have found that even though there seems to be a lot of us into them, the suppliers haven't caught up, they either charge more (compared to a Corsa) or don't even sells parts. I also can't believe the changes with time periods that you can use seats, harness's, extinguishers and helmets, especially when there's another £1,000 to £2,000 gone.

Regards
V Meldrew!!

Like the idea of the tank protection, will look out for a spare tank a.s.a.p.

Thanks

Looking on ebay recently, there are some prepared one on their already... Not sure if you want to build your own though?
Yes, it is a father a son thing. My son would like to experience what I did in my youth! It is possibly cheaper in the long run, but this will be a great learning curve for him, as it was for me preparing my car.

Prepping a car from scratch puts a big dent in the wallet! I'd go for something thats log booked as a starting point if u can! Best of luck as these are a a great competitive car :)
