K11 oxygen sensor

can anyone tell me if the lambda sensor is earthed through the chassis/engine
theres three wires on the sensor two white one black are they =

1. two heater wires (white) and a live (black) and it earths out to chassis/engine
2. 1 live 1 earth and 1 heater wire

i ve found an earth strap under the car which has broken off a long time ago, looks like it goes to the mid section heatshield .

earthed through the mani/engine/chassis
engine is earthed to the chassis/loom via:
1 at back left of engine head next to pcv valve
2 at back right of engine head under the pcv breather pipe
1 from the starter casing to the chassis to the -ve battery cable
1 thin ground cable from back of gearbox casing to the chassis
