K11 overheating problem

Hi guys. New to the forum here. I have a k11 1.0 2002 and it started having an overheating issue. The temp gauge raises normally as it should, then gradually raises (quiet quickly 3-5mins) right into the red zone. When near the top there is a weird noise. I checked the overflow tank, its normal. I checked the raidiator filling bit, liquid is to the top. No gunk in oil cap or heavy loss of oil. No oil in coolant resivour. Using water aswell not coolant. Any ideas guys?

you could try removing thermostat see if that's stuck closed. always use coolant or you get more limescale build up in all the water ways. also make sure no loose pipes .you'll see steam here and there if pipes loose in any place.
