K11 manual gearbox questions

Hi all, just bought my first k11 (1998 1.0L Equation)as a run around, and strangley likeing it more than i thought i would :0) first question what gearbox oil to use? second how do you change it ? lol oh and i bought a new os drive shaft, listed for a 92-01 micra 1.0L manual or auto, now its the same overall length as the old one the outer cv assembly looks the same as the old one but the inner cv splined shaft is approx 1/8" in diameter narrower? i take it they sent me the wrong shaft??

the g/box type for 1.0,s changed in 98 mactat (from RS5F41 to RS5F30)
so the inner c/v,s and shafts are different, and the early g/boxes are filled via the speedo drive (level with the plastic cog)
