K11 facelift instrument cluster lights up but dials dead plus makes pulsating noise (relay sound)

1998 facelift k11 instrument cluster died and makes pulsating sound.

Agree that instrument cluster need replacing or mending in the circuit board behind?

This all happened suddenly on my in-laws virgin/oem facelift k11, unlike my pre facelift with several aftermarket parts.

Crazy idea, I've my prefacelift oem instrument cluster as i replaced mine with the rpm one, would i be plain dumb to try and fit that one on the facelift?
