K11 Facelift coilpack engine throttle body problem..

I've got a 2000 1.0cc coilpack model here.The plug has been disconnected from throttlebody.Management light is on.Car still runs & drives but obviously not properly.When you plug back in the car runs for a short while then dies.Unplug & car will start again.I know that the pre-facelift suffered from dry joints inside throttlebody,could this be the case with this car?
Any advice appreciated before I go & waste time & money fishing for a secondhand unit...

it sounds like a faulty maf eh (which are removable on the coilpack t/b) :grinning:

We called the main dealer for a quote,they don't sell separately & the whole TB unit is £600 something+VAT so we bought 2 to have one in stock lol..
Have to have a look on E Bay then.
Expecting to get a few of these from the scrap line from horrified owners!
Good advice to anyone buying a Micra to play with,get a pre-coilpack pre NATS model unless you really must have a facelift.The newer the car the more aggro & expense your putting yourself up for...It's all about the old skool!!
