K11 exhaust backbox help

Hey guys, I'm new here. I bought a new 2002 k11 recently and the exhaust was not great so I tried to replace. Nissan reckon that they are not making original parts anymore. I bought a cheap replacement part (new but cheap) and the exhaust sounds worse than before.
Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can get my hands on a standard one (or failing that ) a decent aftermarket one)

Hello and welcome.

Do you mean sounds worse as in the note isn't pleasing, or sounds worse as in a bit rough and farty? If the former, then I'm not surprised from a cheap pattern part ; if the latter then check everywhere for leaks and try re-fitting with some exhaust paste.

There are plenty of aftermarket exhaust threads on here. Peter Lloyd rally system is cheap and popular for instance.

You can get a decent stock backbox off eBay for around £15.... tried and tested!

Could be a leak at the join between backbox and mid section
