My Micra came with two different styles of driveshaft inner end. One was the "normal" tripod style joint whilst the other was a ball and cage joint more like the CV. I want to replace the passenger side shaft with the tripod style - anyone know what manufacturers/suppliers sell the tripod ones? If I can find a guaranteed supplier of the correct ones I'll probably buy a pair and modify them with the idea that the inner joints will then probably not need replacing for the life of the car.
Given that I'm chopping the driveshaft to fit a different outer end - does anyone know if a K12 driveshaft has the same fitting at the gearbox end?
