K11 central locking key broken

Hey all, so I did this earlier:

Would it be completely stupid of me to crack open the fob part, and simply glue the blade in place? I've got a spare key, so it's not massively urgent...but is there a DIY fix for this? Cheers in advance

Get a new housing which will come with a blank blade, get it cut tto our key and swap the electronics over.. simples!!
