Since I had the auto box changed on my 2000 K11, I have had an intermittent fault in that sometimes drive will engage, sometimes will not. Each time it won't work, the Ncvt light comes on. This can happen, and often does, between changes from forward to reverse.
So far have replaced the brushes and re done all five electrical connections.
I'm still convinced it's an electrical fault .
This problem is really doing my bacon, and we have not been able to use the car for over a month now.
The mechanic who fitted the box knows nothing about the car's electronics, so I think it's time to find someone who does.
The local auto electrician will charge £80 just to have a look but I am not inclined to pay good money just to contribute towards his learning curve !
My question is - anybody in this area who is familiar with the K11 auto who definitely would be able to identify the problem ?
