hi all just joined having bought a 92 k10 for commuting[ i got fed up getting soaked on a moterbike] anyway a few questions, is there any well known problems i shud look out for and what is the coolant capacity of a 1.0 litre engine oh and the fog lights don't work and lastly what is the recommended timing belt interval? thanks.

Although Haynes says it's 60,000 miles imo it should be lower than that.
Somewhere around 50,000 miles is probably about right.
These Engines do tend to last quite some time but what happens is that some people just drive them and do nothing where servicing or maintenance is concerned. Whether it's because it's their first car or just because they couldn't care less, some owners decide to go on the route of buying car after car after car with no regard to their vehicles well being therefore spending 10 times more money than if they'd actually picked up a spanner and did a bit of DIY. These are also the sort of people who makes other peoples lives a misery by selling 'the Dog' to an unsuspecting buyer.
Here' a question for all: When was the last time the Brake fluid was changed in any of your Vehicles?
Answer: About 99% wil say no.
Manufacturers state that the Brake fluid must be changed every 2 years, who can honestly say that they've had theirs changed throughout the ownership of any car?
Something else to think about?
