K10 coming soon!

Ok i have been offered a H-reg k10 with 10 months MOT and tax til end of august for £75!! however it was said to have a carb problem (he mentioned something about the float chamber having problems) so i am assuming the inlet and outlet of the chamber must be blocked. Does it need a rebuild or do i have to buy a new one?
also what else should i be looking for?

get another carb, they're cheap enough at the breakers.

Yeah you can pick up a carb pretty easy. Other things to check for are just really usual things on older cars, rust, sills, engine sound etc.

ok well having looked at it now it is knackered after i got it running smoke was pouring out the exhaust and wouldnt stop even when i got it warmed up.

but it was a suntop roof fully working if anyone would be interested in that

offer £25 for the car coz its broke, then stick a 1.2 engine with lower milage in.
