K10 1.2 cold start issue....

Had my new K10 for a few weeks now and it runs great for an old car, however it does have one minor issue.....

It doesn't like cold starts at all and takes a few goes to get it started. Once started, it runs fine, and warmed up there are no starting issues whatsoever.

I haven't checked the plugs yet, so could be that - the dizzy cap and leads look to be the original Nissan parts, not sure what their lifespan is supposed to be...

Is there anything else that might be causing this issue?

are you de-pressing the throttle to the floor once before starting to activate the auto choke?

just out of interest, I just tried that and it made no difference............

it always made the difference in my k10 on really cold mornings,

You have to press it twice and then start the engine as normal

change the obvious plugs and dizzy cap, rotor arm etc, can do the lot for about £15-20.

My symptoms
Sometimes the car would randomly misfire and run rough
That's how it started, Then started being an arse to start in the morning but fired up fine once the sun had been on it a few hours! Finally would never start in the morning even rolling down a hill in gear wouldn't give it a kick, would only start when it had gotten hotter!
I changed everything ht leads, plugs, rotor arm dizzy cap! No change i then changed the ignition coil, never skipped beat again!!
