Hi everyone
as the title shows i have just got my first micra, a bit of a story first though
My wife has had a few micras in the past and has loved them, i've never been 1 for small cars but after our car packed up and we needed something quickly she said we should get a micra for a stopgap car until we can get something else.
After trawling through various sites, magazines etc i found a 2001 Marine green 1.4 SE+ for sale with 89k on the clock and 9 months mot and 6 months tax. located locally and up for £700. has the standard gear, EFW, AC, ABS, SR (aftermarket i believe), not alloys or EM though :/
I was a bit dubious at first but took it for a drive and i was surprised tbh. very nippy, takes a little getting used to with the hard accelerator pedal but it's small and fun. I must admit i've been converted. managed to knock him down to £600 as there were a few things that needed doing :-
Actuator faulty with central locking
Heater only works on full (now fixed)
slight rattle when accelerating (now fixed, loose heat shield)
few loose bits of trim
tracking slightly off
various dings and scratches
air con empty
I'm very impressed with how the well it drives, feels very tight and well made
Just need some alloys and fogs now
