Jaycar central locking

I have fitted a 4 door central locking kit to my SLX from Jaycar and it works perfectly with the key. I bought the remote control kit for it and swapped the little box over and it now wont work properly. The actuator fires differently with the remote box fitted and wont lock the door. I took it back and explained what was happening and they said it must be faulty and swapped it for another one but it does exactly the same thing. Has anyone installed this setup? Is there something I am missing as there are no instructions in these kits?

ah thats a pain in the ass, i've always bought the remote ones straight out so never had that problem... did you get diagrams with both? are the colours the exact same on both?

Did you buy remote with the immobiliser? Both units need to be in place with that if that's the case.

I bought these, and for a short while I had the actuators locking when I turned the immobiliser off, and unlocking when turning the immobiliser on. There were a couple of wires around the wrong way.

I didnt have the immobiliser kit, it was this one the 4 door kit.

then I added this one

It has its own wiring harness but is identical to the one in the 4 door kit, so I just swapped in the black box for the remote receivers.
