janspeed de-cat or not?

i got a janspeed de-cat and wondered and till wonder y its not just a straight through pipe and is actually a pipe and what this effects? will it still pass mot and does it effect performance? WHAT THE DEAL JANSPEED!

The janspeed de-cat also has silencers in I believe, if you have changed your manifold and removed the front cat too, then it will not pass an MOT nor is it legal, you're required to have at least 1 cat in the exhaust system at all times.

ok kl so does that means witht he first cat still in there i can keep the de-cat on for mot and will be fine?

depends on your emissions, if theyre too high u wont pass, apparently you can pass with 1 cat provided its nice and toasty and effiecient just before mot is done, so if u raz it round a bit before it helps.

but is one converter bettter than the other? will the manifold converter do the job enough? and y does the micra have two anyway?
just realised my one litre micra only had 1 silencer when i got it and so now has 3!

that mainly applies to the 2nd cat, i think a good 1st cat only is a guaranteed pass

You'll be fine with the 1st cat in.
