IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE TIMING BELT COVER GASKET , WITHOUT TAKING ENGINE OUT PLEASE

hi guys i have a micro 96 plate and i have a small leak on the timing cover , its tight in there but i was wondering is there a specific way round this very awkward problem all help greatly appreciated jim

that,ll be a k11 then jim ? with timing chains ? where is the leak exactly ?

I'm sure the numbers on the block are cg10

its just in the 2 inch gap where the pulleys are i think its near a pulley closest to the engine , a right awkward place it is

leaks around the timing cover are usually either the steel upper cover, or else crank seal jim

just next to the engine mount, and if I'm not correct frank you helped me before with the engine change you sent me a pic of how to get the engine out , without taking box out and shafts intact

its not the steel upper its just under it
there is a pulley on a wheel , its right in there

thats the water pump mate, the oil/chains are behind the flat silver part next to it

i think its the water pump gasket looking at that

yes it is the waterpump definitely , is it a big job, is there a sneaky way to approach this

its pretty easy if you remove the mount first and jack the engine up for better access mate
