I have recently bought a used Micra 1.4 SX and received 2 keys. Both have "lock" and "unlock" buttons, but only one has a blade. I know that the car has a keyless access to get into the car as there are rubber buttons on the handle and when I push it, it unlocks the door. When I start the car, I have used the fob with the blade and started the car fine, but today I tried to start the car without the blade, and just inserted the bladeless fob into the ignition and turned and it started. The only difference was that the light "KEY" flashed and beeps at me.
What does that beeping mean? and is it ok for me to just start the car without the blade? (I ask, because the casing is knackered on this key and I don't want to break it more).
ALSO.. I'm curious about keys, is it possible to get a blade cut and attach it to my fob that is programmed to already open the car doors?
