Got a new fuel pump, which seems to be an exact replacement for the faulty one.
My problem is how to remove the fuel filter from the suction/base of the pump, without damaging the filter.
It is attached to the suction port of the pump, obviously, and also at the centre of the base of the pump.
Both are secured by metal locking rings, and are not releasable at all.
The filter pipe has two tabs on the side. as perhaps it is compressed on to the short suction port of the pump.
The internet isn't much help, as it only seems to understand the in line filter by the engine.
Hope someone can help.
