i just installed my new kenwood head unit and was playing round wit the stuff i mesed with a few buttons then all of a sudden it when silent my headunit is now showing protect when i turn it on ive read up that this happens when it detects a problem ive diconnected both speakers and even put other ones in with no look somone please help i havent a clue how to fix this problem!

after a few hours of fiddeling pullin it in and out and checking everything i finally found out that it simply needed resting with the black rest button on the front of it 
so panic over haha but if anyone else wnats to know if u see the protect come on the screen check ur wiring and speakers and simply press the tiny black reset button hehe
