illegal ?

Is there any problems legally in using different wheel sizes on a car, i.e. 15" on the front and 14" on the back or vice versa, or would it be ok to do ?

its perfectly legal, but as somebody's said, they must be the same on each axle.

I think it may be a bit of a grey area. If wheels of a different size are put on the same axle it can be dangerous. Similarly if you put tractor wheels on a micra I guess that could be seen as dangerous too. We all know that dangerous cars are not legal on the road.

Also, if you have an accident and the wheel sizes are not what they should be your insurance could nail you to the wall!

it cant be illegal think of the chrysler crossfire it comes standard with 18's on the front 19's on the back but putting different size wheels on opposite ends of the axles is just dumb and prob should be illegal.

they are only meant to be temporary only though.

oh and you shouldnt go faster then 50MPH with one on either.

oh and space saver my arse. More like money saver to the manufactuer imo

Yeah I know, but if it was illegal then you wouldnt be allowed to use them at all, even if it was only "temporary". Anyway, I know u can do at least 90 on them, haha!

But anyways, space savers suck ass!
