ive got a new ecu and with it i got the sender unit and ignition switch can i just change over the sender unit and use the old key or do i need to change the whole lot over and use the new key??

the ignition module stores the key code that matches the code in the chip in the key so its teh ECU that must match the key. The switch and sender don't matter car to car. hth
