As I'm in my last year of university I've been applying for graduate engineering schemes.

I'd got right through to the last stage for Network Rail and went for an assessment centre day with them on Wednesday. Very stressful day but an amazing experience.

I received a phonecall today to say that I'm on their scheme and due to start in September. I can't wait...

It's the Electrical Engineering scheme, but I'll be trying all of the different sectors over 12 months, then deciding which one I want to go into.

i.e. High Voltage Power, then Signals, then Telecoms, then Control, etc.
