how do you know when a wheel bearing is going?

have this strange noise coming from the left side, theres a clunk now and again but sounds ruff and like its running dry all the time ,

If its f****d enough it will make a sort of wirring noise if you jack it up and spin it up and could possibly get play on the wheel if you wobble it side to side or top and bottom with the wheel on

i gott a noise like umm kind of a wine but not really its more of a a dry bearing sounds sh#t!, i would try get a vid buy exhaust to noisey haha! will try a get a vid after work in a bit if it is the bearing how hard are they to changed?

Never done one could be press fitted mate, like i said jack each wheel up and see if one makes the noise

i did that yesterday, and its the left side , but sounds more from the gearbox six

I had grinding sort of noise, turned out to be my driveshaft rubbing against the body

:/ i'll have to dubble check the drive shafts tomorro, if i cant find out what it is, off the the garage for her
