high idle

how do,new member and owner,got 93 micra L.when warm drives ok but when stopping in traffic has high idle then settles down to normal idle any idears chaps?.rutty

do you mean, that when you lift, the revs dont drop fully, but they do drop eventually ?

same prob on mine.. rev stays to about 1200rpm and stays for a long time but soon will drop to normal..

same prob here.. its not of any harm.. the tb has a hexagonal black color knob.. you can turn clockwise to lower the idling a little.. it will drop as normal.... but i feel prob it could be dueto the alternator charging thus having a little higher rpm

i'd check that the idle air control valve at the front of the TB is clean and working smoothly
