high fuel consumption

hi can anyone help me with my sisters 2001 1.0l micra she has recently had a second hand engine fitted the guy who fitted it used the throttle body off her old engine as well as the coil packs her old engine ran great and was very good on petrol she just didnt put oil in but she now says car runs great except shes putting twice as much petrol in could it just be a sensor any help would be much appreciated as she is doin my head in moaning about it

maybe a good full service might help, and maybe a 1.3litre engine was fitted in its place??

yours will have the later eobd2 diagnostic system, so either an ebay codereader or your local garage

pre 2000 k11,s have the 14 pin obd1 plug near your knee peposhi (a much more basic diagnostic system)

I went to a local garage, they didn't have the correct connector and couldn't test the car. Still running very bad on fuel - it'll be now 300km out of 35l - 11.6l/100km, compared to 8.5/100 not long a go
