You could change just the maf sensor no need for whole T/B.
Foubd on ebay maf sensor for 20-30quid...check it out

Just looked under my bonnet and the throttle body doesn't seem to have the same maf sensor in it as the ones on eBay? Slightly worrying

no, no good yours isn't removable sensor.
sensor stuck in throttle body is yours = preface lift models
