help! trouble connecting sub and 6*9s to amp

i am running a jbl gto 200 series which is 400 watts. where do i put my 6*9 wires and where do i put my sub wires  feedback asap pleassse

thank you guys

Is this a 2 channel or 4 channel amp.

If it's twin channel is may be trimode compatible, where you wire the 6x9's or what ever to the appropriate channels i.e left and right, then the sub is wired to negative left and positive right.

Above is going from memory so may be wrong, if so can someone correct.

If it's a 4 channlel amp the the 6x9's would be wired to the front outputs and the sub would be bridged across the rear outputs, similar setup for sub as described above.

Hope that helps.

My first post! Just added a 700W kenwood sub and 400w kenwood amp (2 channel bridgable - bridged to mono for the sub).

The blurb in the book mentions trimode, but it describes discrete components (coils and capacitors) for a crossover network so you can drive both - you won't get a good response if you just connect everything to the same amp (bass going to the 6x4s/treble going to the sub will not sound so good).

Hope this helps a little

that amp u described 400 watt jbl gto 2000 series is a 2 CHannel amp as ive got one. Personally i wouldnt put both 6x9s on as well as the sub. Use the JBL one for the 6x9s or the sub only as to get the best uve gotta have it on LP for Sub (Low Profile sounds) or HP for 6x9's etc. Personally dont use 6x9's if u got a sub unless the 6x9's are enclosed in a box which is sealed air tight because the sub air will interfer with the 6x9's operation so ive been told. I look at my parcel shelf when im stopped and because i had 6x9s ive got holes in it and ive covered it with fabric but the Sub moves so much air i see the fabric moving like a wind machine is blowing up it! and the parcel shelf shakes so 6x9's would be pointless. :)

If you really wanted 6x9s though get these but make a sealed box for them. Much better then

talking from experiance :)

what i need is either a 4 channel amp or 2 x 2 channel amps a decent sub and decent components 16.5cm ones or 17cm ones if u can get them. if 4 channel amp hook the components up correctly eg left and right to left and right. the sub u can bridge to double the power output. With the 2, 2 channel amps use one for the sub and one for the components (which ive done) :)
