My 1995 Micra SLX (K11) has developed a problem with its transmission. It is the CVT version.
After it gets hot, it tends to stick in gear. Ok I know it doesn't have gears, but it sticks at around 35 mph at high revs. Also the speedo freezes.
A mechanic suggests that it is connected to loose engine bolts, but I think it something to do with the Electro Mechanical Clutch.
Any ideas on what it could be and how to fit? If it is the CVT, would it be cheaper to put in a manual gearbox and how difficult is this?
