Try a honda forum? or buy a workshop manual mycra

But from what you described he is experiencing, I'm guessing that he would be braking thus causing his speed to decrease. This would indicate on his speedo one would presume. Simple physics eh?

speedo gradually slowing down = cars braking
Sudden drop in speedo = speedo cable/sensor severed or car has encountered an immovable object whilst ur looking at the speedo :p
