Help! Speedo Suddenly drops down.

hey every1 friend of mine's speed dial sometimes suddenly drops. what might be the problem, what's the best way to go about it? cheers

loose speedo cable? check if it's screwed fully onto the gearbox and if its clicked into the instrument cluster

where about is it located on the gear box on a honda?

But from what you described he is experiencing, I'm guessing that he would be braking thus causing his speed to decrease. This would indicate on his speedo one would presume. Simple physics eh?

speedo gradually slowing down = cars braking
Sudden drop in speedo = speedo cable/sensor severed or car has encountered an immovable object whilst ur looking at the speedo
