help please

I was wiring up a rev counter for my car (stand alone not complete different dials) and i took the live from the ignition , it made the light on the rev counter stay on even when the key wasnt in ignition so i had to take it apart to remove the wire

i took my stereo out to get a wire from there as that only comes on when the keys in , but the live wire from the ignition fell from the dash and touched the stereo shorting the circuit

my car now wont start and i dont know what i might have damaged or if its just a fuse blown or somthing , any ideas ? :s

it will be a fuse, check all of them under dash and in engine bay.

ah well at least its a cheap mistake lol.

Turned out i flooded the engine testing the rev counter -_-
