yesterday one of my sons opened my boot on my k12 nissan micra 5 door se... Then closed it quite forcefully. Since then tailgate opener switch appears unopperative?!
The only way I can gain access to the boot area now is by sliding the rear seats forward and removing the parcel shelf. Is there a contact, that if covered could render the tailgate activator switch inactive?
Is there any way of releasing the tailgate lock from the inner boot area to explore the defect further...If so, what would I need to do. I do have a haynes manual but am struggling to locate anything to do with the tailgate switch, mechanism?
