at some point a previous owner has had a fob style immobiliser fitted, and the previous owner has disconnected it...
I'm looking to remove it completely (for the sake of neatness- it's not currently functional anyway), but not 100% sure on the wiring.
Here's a little vid to show what I've got :
To me it looks like the wiring at the ignition that's been joined back up with a crimp, probably used to be interrupted by the wiring that's now taped up on the immobiliser unit.
Looking at the other end where the green terminator is, it looks a simple case of the feeds from the standard loom having been tapped into?
Just wondering if anyone can cast a second opinion before I start ripping this mess out, and also I'm thinking of buying a remote central locking kit off eBay & fifty on it myself- that being the case, will I need any of these wires (that have already been spliced into)?- doesn't make sense to rip it all out and tidy it up neatly if I'm then gonna need to take it all apart again...
