Brutal Honesty
Hi all,
I still have some idle issues since having a chain problem few weeks back. Ever since I've had weird idle problems!
Mainly warm idle being fast (1500+) when dipping the clutch and then dropping to normal rev range (750~)
I found the problem of my fast idle originally, it was the O ring of the ICV which had come loose. Fitted it properly and car idled beautifully at 750, but soon dropped to around 600 and then cut out.
I replaced the ICV with another from a "working TB". Idle is 1000rpm and revs stick to 1700+ when dropping the clutch. The car doesn't cut out with this one.
I'm thinking of going back to my original ICV but keeping the throttle wedged open for now by tigthening the cable.
Any suggestions??
Light is fading so whatever I do now must be good enough for work tomorrow!
