Help! Can't pop front bumper back on!

ok, so I am in the process of fitting a new front drivers side wing to my daughters 05 k12.

All is going well .... It even looks half decent for a rattle can job!

But I'm struggling with the rectangular pop in clip that pops the bumper to the wing. I've already bolted the top side of the wing in place to hold it firm, but no matter how well lined up the hole is, and no matter how hard I push on the bumper, the two won't pop together.

Am I missing something here?

I think you need to remove the headlight. That gives you access to pinch the bumper to the wing.
