Heavy Duty Springs

I'm taking my 2008 Micra on the London to Mongolia Rally this July, and will be carrying quite a bit of gear, and driving on unmade roads, so want to replace the original springs with some that are heavier duty. I'm also fitting Avon Avanza tyres to help deal with the rough roads.

Is there anyone out there who can advise on what springs to go for or advise who i should talk to? Plus do you need to replace the strut as well, or can you just replace the springs??

I haven't a clue, so the only thing I can suggest is do a search for a Suspension specialist.

there must be companies that make custom springs that would be perfect for you needs...hopefully wouldn't cost the earth but probably won't be cheap

keep an eye on this thread though...someone else may have a better idea for you

ETA: I think you'd be better off changing out the strut too, not sure they were designed to take quite that amount of punishment as standard
